Exceptional Patient Safety in Crossville

At Hooie Dental, we’ve been helping patients and their smiles for decades. Now, more than ever, we’re focused on doing everything we can to keep you and your family safe. Due to updates from the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve had to make a few changes around our office for added patient safety in Crossville. Please know that everything we do from the time you call to make an appointment until the day you’re sitting in the dental chair, is done with your health and safety in mind. We value your time and having you as part of our extended dental family.

A huge thank you to Dr. Hooie for his patience, kindness, and a great sense of humor during my recent dental procedure. My entire life, I’ve never had a dentist who could numb me enough so that I did not feel extreme pain while having dental work until I went to Dr. Hooie. I didn’t feel a thing! Great job and I cannot thank him enough. Imagine my surprise when I received a call from Dr. Hooie himself later that same day to make sure I was doing okay! Great care and a great staff!!!

An Update on Patient Safety Courtesy of Your Cumberland County Dentist

During your initial call to the office, we may share some of the same information you see here. Also, we will ask you some preliminary questions about your health as a pre-screening precaution. In addition to this, when you arrive at the office, we conduct the same health screening to ensure you’re feeling healthy on your appointment day. These questions are important, and we greatly appreciate you taking extra time to work with us as we do our best to keep everyone healthy and safe.

Our Crossville dental office has long followed the stringent guidelines and recommendations set forth by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). By staying up-to-date with these agencies, we remain on top of any new guidelines they decide to implement.

What Else Can I Expect?

Here are some additional health and safety updates that we’ve put in place. They’re all to help us better protect you, your family, and our team members.

  • Look out for hand sanitizer located throughout the office. Please feel free to use it at any time, especially when you first enter the office for your scheduled appointment.
  • Please adhere to social distancing rules when you are in the office as best as you can. Remember to say at least six feet away from other people. We allow for added time between patient appointments for disinfection and additional dental office sterilization in Crossville.
  • We ask that you wear a mask while in the office. You might notice that our team members are wearing added personal protective equipment or face shields.
  • All of the surfaces throughout our office are thoroughly cleaned throughout the day using high-quality, hospital-grade disinfectant following the completion of every patient appointment. Every instrument that is not disposable is thoroughly cleaned with our high-powered ultrasonic cleaner and our autoclave.
  • A state-of-the-art Clean Air System with UV purification was installed to recycle the office air with fresh air every 5 minutes.
